Weeks of June 2 & June 9

This will be our last Blog of the school year....

Week of June 2:

*Unit 5 (Capitalization & Punctuation) English Test on Monday.

*Phil Schwarz visits 5th Grade on Tuesday, June 3.
*Lakeview Library visit on Wednesday June 4.
*Special 5th Grade Treat and Extra Recess on Wednesday, June 4.

*Chapter 9 Social Studies Test on Wednesday, June 4 - Open Book/Notes & No Essay Questions.
*School Talent Show on Thursday, June 5.
*Last Day of Math on Friday, June 6.
*Wear your favorite vacation destination T-shirt on Friday, June 6.

Week of June 9:

*Bowling field trip on Tuesday, June 10.

*P.T.O. Field Day and Picnic on Wednesday, June 11.

*Bring a board game to school on Wednesday, June 11.

*Last Day of School on Thursday, June 12.  Bring a pen for autographing.

English:  The children will take the Unit 5, Capitalization & Punctuation Test on Monday.  Children should review their pretest, Unit 5 review, workbook pages in English pocket, and English textbook to prepare for this test.  We will finish the year with a short study of adverbs.

Reading:  We are working on a Glogster about a famous woman from the American Revolution.  The children will create an interactive online poster about the woman that they chose.

Science:  The children will finish sharing their PhotoPeach Solar System Projects.  Some students need to edit their projects before grading.  This needs to be done by Wednesday morning.  Our last unit in science will be on Oceans.

Social Studies:  On Wednesday, the children will take their last Social Studies test.  This test will be on chapter 9.  It will be open book/notes and will not include essay questions.

Math:
Monday - Algebra
Tuesday - Algebra
Wednesday - Algebra
Thursday - Algebra
Friday - Last day of math.....
