Science Essay Hints:
It is a cold, rainy day.  The weather forecast is for the next day to be warm and sunny. What would you predict about the amount of evaporation that will take place on the warm, sunny day? Explain.

You are planning a vacation to a resort.  Before leaving you gather data about weather forecasts for the region.  You learn that a continental polar air mass will be over the region when you arrive, but that will quickly be replaced by a maritime tropical air mass.  What kind of weather can you expect when you arrive?  How will the weather change after your arrival?

Explain the effect of mountain ranges on weather.  Explain what the air masses and precipitation would be like on both sides of a mountain.

You are sitting on a hot, sunny beach.  In which direction does the wind blow?  Explain why this happens.  Why is the seashore a comfortable place to be on hot summer days?  Explain.

Social Studies - We will begin Chapter 9 this week.

Spelling - Our pretest will be on Monday.  Students with a perfect score will become challenge spellers.  All spelling activities are due Friday.

English - We will take a pretest this week for one of our final units.  The students will be working with an enrichment contract again.  Remember the "X" on the contract means they passed out of that lesson and will be working on their enrichment project during class-time instead of joining me for the lesson.  The "EX" in the gradebook means exempt.  Your child will receive an "EX" when they have passed out of the lesson.

Reading - We will be working with Augmented Reality this week.  Hopefully, we will be able to display some of these projects at Open House.
