Homeroom Happenings:
Spelling - We will have a spelling unit this week even though it is a shortened week. Students who miss 1 or none will work with our challenge spelling list. The rest of the students will work on the regular list. Challenge spellers will need to do a practice sheet and 2 activities. Regular spellers will need to do a practice sheet and 2 workbook pages.
English - We will begin this week with a quiz on Subject Pronouns, Object Pronouns, and Using I and me. We will then continue on our study of pronouns.
Reading - Students will be reading literature and information text examples. They will use the information in these texts to answer comprehension questions. We will also work on another extended response.
Science - Our test on Chapter 14, lessons 1-3, will be on Tuesday. Children should review notes, Google Docs slide shows, and the textbook to prepare for this test.
Items to review for test:
Key words: matter, atom, element, density, molecule, mixture, periodic table, nucleus, solution, corrosion, physical change, & chemical change.
Social Studies - We will continue working with chapter 7. The children will need to complete the chapter 7, lesson 2 summary for homework on Tuesday. Then we will move onto lesson 3.
