Social Studies - The children will work on their desert postage stamp project this week.

Accelerated Math - We will only meet for math on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Tuesday, we will finish our "DynaMath Tournament." On Wednesday, we will be going to the computer lab to practice math skills. On Friday, the children will work with averages.

Spelling - Two more spelling lessons! This week we will work with lesson 33. This lesson practices words with the "tion" ending.

English - We have completed our final English unit. This week the children will be finishing their poetry books which are due on Friday. Your child needs 4 critiques written before Friday. I suggested Mom, Dad, Brothers and Sisters, Grandma, Grandpa, family friends. Read their poems and write a short comment. What was your favorite poem and why? What did you like most about their poetry book?

Reading - We will only have language arts on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We will begin an author study this week - Chris Van Allsburg. Here is a link to a great website: http://www.chrisvanallsburg.com/flash.html.
